EEF launched Ebreakfast@Prezi successfully!
While there might be no free luncheons in business, as of 11 June, there are free breakfasts in Budapest for ambitious, open-minded and curious wannabe entrepreneurs. Ebreakfast @ Prezi targets the next generation of startup teams, giving them the opportunity to meet and listen to the ultimate role models: people who started to build global success stories out of Budapest. This unique program is organized and run by EEF; while it is hosted and sponsored by Prezi. It will be offered on a monthly basis, with audience is limited to 40 people. It was an obvious choice to kick the program off with Peter Arvai, Prezi’s CEO and co-founder. While attandence is free of charge, it requires application. Participants then are carefully selected by judging their motivation and engagement. The event is designed to complement EEF’s other programs:
| Accelerator courses | Preparing startup teams for global markets |
| Jeremie Contest | Venture plan competition |
| Speaker Series | Entrepreneurs, VCs sharing their experience |
| First Monday | Entrepreneurs meeting entrepreneurial investors |
| E liquidity | A community event |
Ebreakfast @ Prezi starts at 8:30, with a half-an-hour warm-up. We call it networking breakfast and serve croissant, juice and nespresso. At 9:00 o’clock we get serious and start with the interview. EEF founder Peter (Záboji) is the moderator and interviewer.
The idea is to cut thru the published „success stories” and dig deep. Trying to shed light on the mad and passsionate act of how startup teams are being formed and businesses are being created; how mistakes are being comitteed and quickly corrected Peter, the moderator was well prepared to ask the Peter, the founder CEO inquisitory questions. In turn, Peter Arvai was a great inspiration by being frank, giving crisp answers and also sharing intriguing anectodes with his audience, which they will remember forever. Instead of providing run-of-the-mill receipts, he spoke about the challenges facing entrepreneurs honestly. Above all, he praised the team and the trust as the bonding glue among its members. Or their decision to arrive at the company name which was easy to pronounce for anyone in the world and refer to the nature of the product. Or stating that the CEO’s most important task is to communicate non-stop, internally as well as externally. In the last part of the interview, the audience was invited to ask their questions. One hand went up after the other; however at 10 o’clock, it was over. Fot those who could afford to stay, another networking session started. One thing is certain, those who attented the Ebreakfast, started their workday with a healthy dose of the E virus.
