Alex is Managing Director of the High-Tech Gründerfonds (HTG) since its inception in October 2005. HTG is a market leader of early stage financing in Germany, actively supporting the venture teams with its strong network. More than 280 companies so far with € 430 million follow-on investment by other investors and 22 successful exits.
Alex started his career designing and implementing large IT systems with Andersen Consulting, later he headed the Innovation Practice at Siemens Management Consulting; was head of sales and marketing of an IT start-up. Since 2003, he was responsible for spin-offs as Venture Manager at the Siemens Technology Accelerator
Dr. Frankenberg holds an MBA from the University of Texas, Austin (1992) and a PhD from the University of Mannheim (1997).
